A little bit about me, my family, and my world.
Phil (my bolt of lightning) and I have been married for 30 years and have three adult children: Liberty, Harrison, and Darcy. In 2016, we made the big move from the UK to the United States and now reside in Georgia. Last year, Liberty married the love of her life, Curtis, which expanded our family from five to six. With two fur babies, Forrest and Willow, that makes eight of us!
For me, home is where my heart is. It’s not about the location, the bricks and mortar, or the fancy sofa—it’s about who we are and how we do life together. Family are my favorite people to hang out with, and now the messy kitchen that used to exhaust me or the scattered pillows on the sofa that I always found irritating reminds me of how precious family is. Please don’t mistake us for perfect, as we, like you, have our fair share of sorrow, frustrations, arguments, and sorry’s, but there’s something about imperfection that makes it all perfect.
Growing up, home was not a safe place, and in many ways, those experiences have shaped me and informed the work I do today. I now love using our home to offer rest to the weary and healing to the broken, guiding them to Jesus, our lighthouse, who leads us to safety.
Recently, God placed a pen in my hand and said, “Write.” So here we are, trying to be obedient to all that the Lord has asked of me!
